Hi everybody! This week I’d like to show how to knit a cosy loop scarf that is finished in no time. I did several of these in my fav colours. This one in light winter-sky blue is my most loved at the moment. It brightens up the dark and foggy mornings commuting to work. So let’s do it!
300g bulky yarn in light blue (about 50m / 50g)
7 mm knitting needles
The gauge is not relevant here, because it depends on the yarn you use. The final size of the loop should be 25 x 140cm. So the following instruction is a suggestion by me – maybe you want to adjust the size. I made the loop’s size to fit for wrapping it two times around my neck and for a comfy look.
Cast on 30 stitches.
row 1: knit 1, purl 1, continue to end of the row
row 2: knit 1, purl 1, continue to end of the row
row 3: purl 1, knit 1, continue to end of the row
row 4: purl 1, knit 1, continue to end of the row
Repeat row 1-4 until you have a lenght of 140 cm (or the lenght you like).
last row: knit 1, purl 1, continue to end of the row
Cast off as the stitches appear.
Now sew the short ends of the scarf together, using matress stitch.
It’s finished! Wrap it around your neck and feel comfy & colourful as long as the winter lasts. Have fun!
